Job summary

A large three-form entry primary school in Lewisham is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to join their team as soon as possible. You will work closely with a KS2 pupil requiring consistent 1:1 emotional and social development support.

The role involves building a trusted relationship, using de-escalation techniques and promoting emotional regulation, while collaborating with the class teacher and wider school team to keep the pupil engaged in learning.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, ASD, emotional needs or challenging behaviour.
• Ability to apply de-escalation techniques to help children regulate emotions.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support to a KS2 pupil with emotional and social development needs.
