Job summary

Qualiteach Education Group is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Behaviour Support Assistant to support a KS2 pupil at a Lewisham primary school. You will provide one-to-one emotional and behavioural support throughout the school day, helping the pupil stay engaged and settled.

The role requires calm, patient approach, experience with SEMH/ASD, and the ability to implement de-escalation techniques and emotional regulation strategies in collaboration with the class teacher and support staff.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting children with SEMH, ASD, or emotional/behavioural needs.
• Calm, patient and confident in de-escalation and emotional regulation.
• Ability to form a trusting relationship with a KS2 pupil.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 behavioural support to a KS2 pupil throughout the school day.
• Use positive behaviour strategies and de-escalation techniques.
• Collaborate with the class teacher and wider school support staff.
