Job summary

Acuity Care Group is seeking a Support Worker in Bristol to provide high-quality 1:1 support for an individual living at home with autism and complex needs. The role focuses on promoting safety, independence, and meaningful engagement within the family setting.

You will work flexibly, supporting day-to-day routines, activities, and community participation while maintaining a compassionate, person-centred approach. Training opportunities and funded qualifications are available.

Qualifications

  • Full manual UK Driving Licence is required and access to a vehicle.
  • Experience supporting individuals with Autism, complex needs, or challenging behaviours is required.
  • Experience working in care, support work, healthcare, or community settings is preferred.
  • Compassionate, patient, person-centred approach to supporting others.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills are essential.

Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality 1:1 support to the individual at home.
  • Assist with day-to-day routines and promote independence.
  • Encourage participation in activities at home and in the community.
  • Support communication in line with the individual’s needs and preferences.
  • Maintain a calm, structured, and organised environment.
  • Build positive relationships and provide consistent support.
