Job summary

Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism in a small rural primary school on the outskirts of Lancaster. The role starts ASAP and runs long-term through the academic year, 8:30am to 3:30pm, Monday to Friday, term-time only.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with SEN, a patient and nurturing approach, and be committed to helping the pupil access learning and build confidence within a supportive

Qualifications

• Experience working with children with Autism and/or SEN.
• Be patient, understanding, and adaptable.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
• Commitment to helping every child reach their potential.
• Hold an enhanced DBS on the Update Service or be willing to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 support for a Year 2 pupil with Autism.
• Assist learning and help the pupil access class activities.
• Support pupil confidence and engagement throughout the day.
• Uphold safeguarding policies and DBS requirements.
