Job summary

Protocol Education is seeking a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with autism and additional learning needs in a welcoming school environment. This paid role offers hands-on experience in SEND, opportunities for professional development, and collaboration with teachers, parents and a supportive leadership team to foster each pupil's development.

Experience with children or young people is valuable, and candidates with transferable skills and a positive attitude are encouraged

Responsibilities

• Provide tailored support to help a pupil engage with learning
• Remain calm, patient and compassionate in challenging situations
• Work effectively as part of a wider team with teachers, support staff and parents/carers
• Support pupil’s communication, independence and personal development
