Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair roads by properly maintaining associated movable bridges in a professional, safe and cost-effective manner that meets VDOT's strategic plan goals. How you will contribute:


• Diagnose Repairs: Proficiently use electrical test equipment, prints, and diagnostic equipment to accurately analyze mechanical equipment. Isolate malfunction, perform repairs, fabricate and make modifications timely.


• Job Safety: Determine and demonstrate proper work site protection techniques. Ensure workplace safety by identifying workplace hazards and making suggestions for improvement. Wear proper personal protection equipment.


• Time Management: Maximize performance and cause no disruption to shift or activities by effectively using time management. Gain and maintain a thorough knowledge of standard operating procedures and other applicable regulations.
