Job summary

Glen Park Primary School in Plymouth seeks a dedicated KS1 teacher to inspire a love of learning and model high standards of behaviour. The post offers a forward-thinking, well-resourced environment and friendly colleagues committed to the best for our children.

You will plan engaging lessons, maintain excellent attendance and punctuality, and work as part of the KS1 phase team to meet the needs of all pupils.

Qualifications

  • Inspire pupils a love for learning, acting as a role model, and demonstrating enthusiasm in delivering all subject areas.
  • Strong behaviour management strategies with a calm, consistent classroom routine.
  • Use high-quality teaching, clear expectations and effective classroom management to motivate pupils.
  • Be a team player who can plan high-quality learning experiences for all allocated pupils as part of the KS1 phase team.
  • Maintain ethos, policies and practices of the school; ensure attendance and punctuality.

Responsibilities

Job description

We are looking for someone who will:

  • use appropriate, high-quality teaching, expectations and classroom management strategies to encourage and motivate pupils
  • be a team player, who can plan high quality learning experiences to meet the needs of all allocated pupils in a consistent and effective way as part of the KS1 phase team.
  • have proper and professional regard for the ethos, policies and practices of the school and maintain standards of attendance and punctuality
