Alpine Elements in France is seeking a Maintenance/Driver to support the upkeep of resort properties. You will tackle tasks from leaking dishwashers to snow shovelling and co-ordinate with resort managers, delivering a professional and friendly service to guests when in properties.

We value energetic, flexible individuals who can work solo or as part of a team, hold a full clean driving licence, and are ready to adapt to a busy seasonal environment with clear safety and grooming standards.

We employ up to 120 staff each season which gives Alpine Elements a unique advantage in offering the chance to work summer or winter and, if visa restrictions allow, back-to-back seasonal opportunities. We are fully compliant with all immigration laws, therefore we welcome all nationalities to apply that have an EU passport, a right to work in France in the form of a CDS, or are from a country where you can obtain a visa. We are one of the few companies that assist UK applicants to complete their visa paperwork, meaning all UK passport holders are welcome to apply, however the recruitment process has extra steps to obtain your visa and work permits. The majority of our guests are from the UK, therefore it is compulsory that all applicants are fluent in English to be considered for a position.

Position

As a maintenance / driver, you will be responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of all Alpine Elements properties within your resort. Day-to-day tasks might take you from a leaking dishwasher to show shovelling, from a trip to the dechetterie to testing the hot tubs - basically supporting the properties in any way they need. Although it is not a direct customer facing role, you will interact with our guests when in our properties, therefore a professional yet friendly manner is a must.

  • To assist the other resort staff in various roles when necessary, ensuring impeccable customer service and assistance in emergencies.
  • To make yourself known to our guests when entering a property.
  • To provide an accurate & consistent appearance of the company at all times, with professionalism and by adhering to uniform requirements and grooming standards.

Operational

  • Take ownership and resolve maintenance issues as and when they arise.
  • To communicate efficiently with the managers and resort staff with the progress and projected completion of maintenance works.
  • To pro-actively identify, note, plan, and resolve any maintenance issues in a timely manner.
  • To complete works to the highest standards in line with company policy.
  • To be on-call (on a rota basis) in case of an emergency to manage any incidents.
  • Escalate and report all scheduled works to maintenance and resort managers.

Requirements of the role

Must haves

  • Confident driver with a full, clean driving licence held for 2 years and be 21 years of age & above.
Salary and Package benefits
  • 35 hours a week average working hours.
  • Full training and development available with great career progression and opportunities for future seasons.
  • Salary is competitive, uniform is provided, and staff meals are included within the working shifts.
  • Accommodation and assistance to obtain a visa (UK only) can be provided as optional extras if needed.

Operational dates may vary by resort and property; however, they generally fall between late November/early December until mid to late April.
