Job summary

Wandercraft in Paris seeks a robotics control engineer to develop whole-body control algorithms for exoskeletons and humanoid robots, from mathematical formulation and simulation to deployment and validation on real robots.

You will tackle locomotion, manipulation, multi-contact control and whole-body motion generation with a focus on robustness, performance and real-time execution. Collaboration with cross‑functional teams is essential, with C++ and Python implied for software development.

Qualifications

• Diploma: Master’s or PhD in Robotics, Controls, Optimization, Applied mathematics, or related field.
• Hands-on experience with robotics, control, motion generation or trajectory optimization from industry, research, or significant academic projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop whole-body control algorithms for floating-base robots.
• Design control strategies using linear and nonlinear control, MPC and NMPC.
• Develop online and offline trajectory optimization and motion generation algorithms.
• Write efficient, maintainable software in C++ and Python.
• Test, debug and validate algorithms on exoskeletons and humanoid robots.
• Contribute to the architecture and long-term technical direction of the control stack.
