The OECD is seeking a Data and Knowledge Scientist to advance its Well-being data infrastructure and policy practice efforts. The role focuses on building automated data pipelines, maintaining key databases, and creating accessible visualisations for policy impact.

You will collaborate across the WISE Centre to support data-driven insights for well-being topics in OECD member countries. Ideal candidates will have an advanced degree in a quantitative field, at least four years of relevant

Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Economics, Statistics, Data Science or related field with strong quantitative focus.
• At least four years of experience in applied policy research and/or data science.
• Experience with econometric analysis and microdata.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain scalable data infrastructure and automated workflows.
• Knowledge of well-being topics is desirable.

Responsabilités

• Design, develop and maintain automated data pipelines for the How’s Life? well-being database and OECD Data Explorer, with quality assurance.
• Maintain quarterly data updates for the How’s Life? database and the Better Life Index.
• Create compelling and accessible data visualisations for policymakers and stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the WISE communications team and OECD units as needed.
• Provide training and guidance on data science, automation and visualization to the WISE team.
