ENGIE is seeking an Intern - Trader Weather & Energy to join the Weather & Energy Solutions desk. The role blends quantitative analysis with front-office trading in a dynamic environment, focusing on modeling, pricing tools, and hedging weather risk for ENGIE’s clients.

As part of the team, you will contribute to risk assessment, collaboration with stakeholders, and ongoing development of modeling capabilities within a highly collaborative setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Financial Mathematics or Engineering.
• Strong programming skills in Python and OO design.
• Experience with data analysis and trading concepts is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Provide clients with deep knowledge of weather risks through analysis and quantification.
• Assist in designing and implementing strategies to reduce weather risks.
• Structure and trade weather hedges in collaboration with traders and providers.
• Monitor hedge performance and suggest coverage improvements.
