ENGIE's Global Business Unit Supply & Energy Management is seeking a quantitative researcher to analyze weather forecasts and build ML models that generate synthetic scenarios for power market insights. You will work closely with traders to translate findings into meaningful market signals.

The role focuses on weather analytics, data integration, and statistical methods within energy trading contexts, contributing to decarbonized energy strategies.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in a quantitative field (Math, Stats, Data Science, ML, Engineering, Physics).
• Academic or project experience in quantitative research, statistics, or machine learning is a plus.
• Strong foundations in probability and statistics.

Responsabilités

• Conduct statistical analyses of weather forecast runs to assess representativeness and accuracy.
• Develop machine learning models to generate synthetic weather scenarios and improve forecast representativeness.
• Align weather forecast runs from different sources and create aggregated datasets.
• Collaborate with traders to translate research into market insights.
