Job summary

Alignerr is seeking Voice Recording Specialists to contribute natural, clear speech samples for training AI speech systems. This is a fully remote hourly contract with flexible hours, requiring no voice acting or AI experience—just a clear speaking voice and a quiet space.

You will record, vary tone, and complete metadata for sessions, participating in scripted and open-ended conversations. This freelance role offers autonomy and potential for ongoing work as new projects launch.

Voice Recording Specialist (AI Training)

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role. No voice acting background or technical experience needed — just a clear speaking voice, a reasonably quiet space, and a willingness to show up and be heard.

What You'll Do

• Record clear, natural voice samples by reading provided scripts and responding to conversational prompts
• Vary your tone, pacing, and delivery style as directed to capture a range of speech patterns
• Ensure recordings are clean, clear, and free from background noise
• Complete metadata forms that describe and categorize each recording session
• Participate in both scripted reading sessions and open-ended conversational recordings

Who You Are

• Clear, natural speaking voice — no professional training required
• Access to a quiet recording environment with minimal background noise
• A microphone, headset, or smartphone capable of capturing good audio quality
• Comfortable reading aloud and being recorded
• Reliable and consistent when completing task-based work independently
• No voice acting, audio engineering, or AI experience required

Nice to Have

• Experience in podcasting, broadcasting, teaching, customer service, or any role involving regular public speaking
• Familiarity with basic audio recording tools or apps
• Ability to naturally vary tone, accent, or delivery style across different contexts
• Multilingual speakers are always welcome
