GCI seeks a Cloud Engineer (TS/SCI with Poly) to design, build, and operate cloud-based applications in a production AWS environment. The ideal candidate will bring hands-on AWS expertise, strong PKI and networking skills, and a passion for automation.

The role emphasizes infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible), scalable and secure cloud infrastructure, and collaboration with diverse engineering teams to deliver mission-critical solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technical discipline.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud infrastructure and VPCs, subnets, route tables, gateways.
• Strong PKI knowledge and troubleshooting abilities.
• Experience deploying code in AWS using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Experience with version control and code reviews.
• Advocate for automation and configuration management with minimal manual ops.

Responsabilités

• Translate high-level requirements into detailed, actionable plans and implement cloud solutions with independence.
• Design, develop, test, and deploy scalable, secure cloud infrastructure and tooling using AWS.
• Collaborate with non-cloud teams to migrate apps to Cloud and DevOps.
• Work with cross-functional teams to build, operate, and secure cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot PKI, networking, proxy-related issues and related technologies.
• Champion automation and day-two operations practices.
• Provide recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.
