Job summary

Organon seeks a Therapeutic Area Medical Affairs Lead to build and coach a high-performing MA/MSL team, delivering scientific leadership across a defined therapeutic area. The role partners with the Cluster Medical Director to shape medical strategy, product positioning, lifecycle management, and cross-functional collaboration with HCPs, SLs and KDMs.

Responsibilities include budgeting, governance, and ensuring compliant medical material review, while driving opportunities for new product

Qualifications

• MD and/or PhD in Medicine or a related scientific discipline.
• Proven Medical Affairs experience within multinational pharmaceutical organizations.
• Strong leadership skills including coaching, team development and performance management.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build and lead a high-performing Medical Affairs team (MA and MSL) within a defined therapeutic area.
• Ensure alignment of the medical affairs plan with brand strategy and a scientifically unbiased platform.
• Oversee team performance, budgeting, and resource optimization to drive results.
• Maintain high medical quality of strategies and governance compliant with local laws and policies.
• Guide scientific exchange with external customers and support medical insights execution.
• Drive medical strategy for product launches, lifecycle management, and market access.
