Job summary

LA International is seeking a Test Engineer to work onsite in Strasbourg, France, on a long-term B2B/freelance contract. The role requires hands-on testing across APIs, databases, and enterprise systems, with a strong emphasis on test planning, execution, and defect management.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience for the nature of tasks.
• Excellent knowledge of testing standards, methods.
• Hands on experience in creating efficient test approaches, test planning, test scenarios, test case creation and execution.
• Experience in API testing using Postman, Kreya or similar tools.
• Experience using DBs and SQL, containerized solutions and observability tools.
• Experience in writing and editing automated tests.
• Experience with system integration testing.
• Ability to understand business context, define priorities, communicate with technology focused teams and communicate the outcome of test campaigns.
• Defect Management including prioritization of defects and root cause analysis.
• Test and Defect Management tools.
• Experience in complex, enterprise system integration.
• Experience in agile software development and testing methodologies
• Experience and willingness of working in an international/multicultural environment

Responsibilities

• Lead test planning, design and execution for complex enterprise systems.
• Coordinate with development and product teams to prioritize test campaigns.
• Analyze defects and perform root cause analysis to drive quality improvements.
