Ocellus Services is seeking an experienced Technical Director to lead the technical direction of our studio and multiple productions in Lyon. You will oversee architecture, engineering strategy, and hands‑on development, guiding senior programmers across console and PC platforms.

Collaborate with Creative Directors, Producers, and Technical Leads to define vision, manage risks, and ensure high quality, scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Significant experience as Technical Director or senior lead in video games.
• Led teams of programmers across multiple console titles.
• Experience with cross‑platform PC/console development.
• Strong C++ skills and understanding of modern game engine architecture.
• Experience with profiling, optimization, and debugging on console hardware.

Responsabilités

• Lead, structure, and grow programming teams across multiple productions.
• Define the studio’s technical vision and drive its implementation across projects.
• Oversee game architecture and own key technical decisions.
• Ensure quality, performance, stability, and maintainability of productions.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks and establish strategies.
• Collaborate with creative and production teams to align ambitions with constraints.
• Mentor Technical Leads and support growth of programmers.
• Define and improve engineering standards and processes.
• Lead recruitment for the programming team and conduct interviews.
• Participate in architecture and code reviews for critical systems.
• Support productions through critical phases including console certification.
