Virtuos Lyon is seeking a Lead Graphics Developer to maintain, develop, and optimize AAA-quality graphics systems in proprietary engines or Unreal Engine. You will set strategy, lead a team of Graphics Developers, and ensure high-quality integration with gameplay and visuals.

The role reports to the Technical Director and requires deep software engineering and graphics workflows knowledge for real-time applications. Based in Lyon, you’ll drive technical excellence.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in a Lead position
• 3+ years in graphics development for games or equivalent
• Familiar with Unreal Engine 5, its graphics workflow and features
• Strong programming knowledge, especially in C++ and OOP
• Fluent in French and English, both written and spoken

Responsabilités

• Coordinate with Technical Directors to align on project progress and objectives
• Establish strategy, milestones, and staffing plans for Graphics Developers
• Manage, mentor, and support Graphics Developers throughout assignments
• Monitor Graphics Developers’ deliveries and ensure quality and timelines
• Assess upcoming risks and mitigate production safety
• Help the team develop potential through training and growth initiatives
• Lead graphics project strategies to maintain a coherent technical vision across projects
