Job summary

Skaleet recrute un Tech Lead pour piloter l'équipe Interbank Operations du Payments Domain. Vous serez responsable de la direction technique, des revues de code, des choix d'architecture et du leadership pratique tout en restant hands-on (PHP / Symfony).

Vous travaillerez avec le Product Manager et une équipe France/Vietnam, et vous contribuerez aux intégrations avec les banques et réseaux de paiement (SEPA, ISO 20022, TARGET2), en veillant à la qualité et à la sécurité des flux.

Qualifications

Master's degree from an engineering school, or equivalent experience.
6+ years of experience in back-end software development.
Proven experience as a Tech Lead or technical referent of a development team.
Still hands-on: strong object-oriented back-end skills in production (PHP / Symfony ideally; Java, Kotlin, C# or back-end TypeScript welcome).
Experience with payments: SEPA, ISO 20022, transfers, direct debits, clearing, SWIFT or TARGET2.
You have led large-scale projects end to end (migration, new module, new integration), over several months and with a clear business impact.
Sound testing and code quality practices (clean code, hexagonal / Clean Architecture, DDD).
Fluent French and professional English.

Responsibilities

Own the technical direction of the squad: design, code reviews, architecture decisions on your scope, documented and explained.
Help developers grow and spread good practices, in a team distributed between France and Vietnam.
Represent the squad in cross-team technical discussions with the VP of Engineering, and drive major technical evolutions.
Frame topics technically with the Product Manager; challenge the roadmap on feasibility and risk.
Translate business and regulatory needs into robust, pragmatic technical solutions.
Build and evolve integrations with banks and payment networks (SEPA, TARGET2, cross-border).
Handle the full lifecycle of a payment: ISO 20022 messages (pain, pacs, camt), statuses, rejects and returns, reconciliation.
Support the migration of our clients to our new payment engine.
Develop features to the highest quality standards and strengthen our test pyramid.
Take part in the domain's on-call rotation.

Our platform moves real money every day: salaries, payments, transfers between banks. Making those flows reliable is at the heart of our engineering work.

[Job Description]

Context

You will join the Payments Domain of our Software Factory, made up of three squads (Payment Initiation, Interbank Operations and Monetics), and take the technical lead of the Interbank Operations squad.

This squad connects our core banking platform to the interbank networks: ISO 20022 file exchanges with sponsor banks, SEPA, TARGET2 and cross-border payments, payment statuses and rejects, BIC directory, and the opening of new payment networks.

You will work hand in hand with the squad's Product Manager and a team of 4 developers based in France and Vietnam. This is a hands-on technical leadership role: developers report to the Payments Engineering Manager, and you lead the technical side.

AI-driven development

At Skaleet, we develop our features with AI. Most of our developers are AI-driven, from design to development. As Tech Lead, you will promote good AI practices in the squad (agents, prompting, skills).

Technical leadership

Work closely with the Product Manager: frame topics technically before development, challenge the roadmap on feasibility and risk, and help prioritize.
Translate business and regulatory needs into robust, pragmatic technical solutions.

Interbank payment flows

Build and evolve the integrations with banks and payment networks (SEPA, TARGET2, cross-border).
Handle the full lifecycle of a payment: ISO 20022 messages (pain, pacs, camt), statuses, rejects and returns, reconciliation.
Support the migration of our clients to our new payment engine.

Quality & production

Develop features to the highest quality standards and strengthen our test pyramid.
Act as the technical point of reference when a payment flow is blocked in production, and fix root causes rather than symptoms.
Take part in the domain's on-call rotation.

Experience with asynchronous systems, idempotency and high transaction volumes.
Experience working with distributed or offshore teams.
