Job summary

Neo4j is seeking a Tech Lead to own core parts of the GraphAware Hume platform, driving architecture and technical direction across the product. You will work hands-on with Neo4j, optimize queries, and mentor engineers while shaping the product's future.

Collaborating with a European team, you will influence cross-cutting design decisions and ensure secure, scalable API development as part of a graph-powered analytics platform.

Qualifications

• Deep, hands-on Neo4j expertise including Cypher performance optimization and broad Neo4j ecosystem (GDS, APOC, drivers).
• Modelled domain as property graphs, design nodes, relationships, labels, and properties.
• Experience leading architecture/technical direction for a team or product area.
• Strong background in backend systems (8+ years) with large-scale applications and cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Own platform architecture and technical direction for Hume foundations used by multiple feature teams.
• Actively track Neo4j releases and tooling; assess changes and plan migrations.
• Optimize Cypher queries for latency, throughput, and scale.
• Mentor engineers and raise the technical bar for Neo4j usage.
