Job summary

Neo4j is hiring a Senior Software Engineer to shape the core intelligence of GraphAware Hume, our graph-powered analytics platform. You will build APIs and design secure, scalable access control for mission-critical environments while coordinating workflows for real-time insights across a remote-first European team.

You will work on data models (relational and graph), CI/CD pipelines, and secure software design, contributing to architecture and overall product direction with senior engineers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of backend experience in large-scale apps.
• Fluency in Java with modern software practices (DDD, TDD).
• Spring or similar framework for secure, modular APIs.
• Experience with relational and graph data models (PostgreSQL/Neo4j).
• Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker, and deployment automation.
• Strong security mindset and OWASP awareness.
• Ability to work in a remote-first, async team.
• Experience with microservices and API design.

Responsibilities

• Build APIs for intuitive user interaction with complex data.
