Stellar seeks a System Test Engineer to join our QA team. You will design and execute test strategies across embedded hardware and software, validate GLOBBLE and STEER components, and collaborate with DevOps on releases.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on software or systems testing.
• Strong Linux and networking knowledge (TCP/IP, VPN, logs) for debugging.
• Experience designing automated test suites in Python and Shell scripting.
• Ability to write clear bug reports with steps, root cause details, and logs.
• Familiar with CI/CD tools (Jira, GitLab CI).
• Experience writing formal test plans and customer-facing deliverables.
• Proficient English; French a plus.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute comprehensive test strategies to ensure quality and correct behavior of software and hardware modules.
• Test STEER EDGE and STEER Gateway software on GLOBBLE hardware platforms.
• Validate STEER Management releases at system level across dev, QA and production environments, with DevOps collaboration.
• Plan and execute field trials of GLOBBLE units across varied network conditions.
• Implement and maintain automated testing frameworks to streamline QA.
• Verify test environments meet resource/config specifications before validation campaigns.
• Structure and maintain automated test-reporting tooling and promote repeatable QA methodology.
• Identify, document, and track software defects with swift resolution with developers.
• Conduct full range of testing including field trials to validate stability and performance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to uphold QA standards.
• Review requirements and design docs to ensure testability and quality.
• Produce formal test documentation and validation reports for internal or customer milestones.
• Drive continuous improvement of QA processes with Agile/DevOps.
