Alstom in Saint-Ouen, France is offering a Sustainable Depot Solutions Intern to help shape sustainable depot offerings by analyzing energy, water, and facility systems.

You will map initiatives across projects, develop frameworks for energy efficiency, water reuse, and monitoring systems, and test ideas with Services and Engineering teams. The role requires Bac+4/5 in engineering, fluent English, and a 6-month program starting January or February.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bac+4/Bac+5 in engineering, energy or building systems.
• Knowledge of building energy systems, water management, BMS/EMS, techno-economic analysis.
• Ability to connect topics and view a site as an operating system.
• Comfortable researching unfamiliar subjects, comparing options, presenting recommendations.
• Interest in sustainable solutions across countries.
• Fluent in English.
• Duration: 6 months, starting Jan-Feb.

Responsabilités

• Map existing depot sustainability initiatives, technical solutions and lessons learned across projects.
• Develop a coherent framework covering energy efficiency, water use, facility management, and monitoring/EMS/BMS.
• Identify how these systems interact with depot operations, maintenance, site infrastructure and local requirements.
• Compare possible solutions using technical, operational and economic criteria, including constraints and lifecycle considerations.
• Contribute to preliminary business cases for selected solutions with internal teams and engineering partners.
• Package findings into clear reference material, recommendations and reusable tools for future bids and projects.
• Work with Services, Engineering and regional teams to test relevance of the approach.
