Job summary

IOTA GROUP is seeking an experienced EPC Contract Engineer – SURF to join our international project team in Paris, France. You will lead the contractual and commercial management of SURF EPC contracts, overseeing tendering, execution, and close-out phases for a major offshore brownfield development project in Angola.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of professional EPC contract management experience.
• Degree in Engineering, Law or Management / Business Administration.
• Strong experience managing EPC contracts related to SURF packages (Subsea Umbilicals, Risers and Flowlines).
• Proven involvement in CFT / tendering and EPC execution phases.
• Experience managing international contracts involving major Oil & Gas contractors.
• Experience with offshore brownfield projects is highly advantageous.
• Excellent knowledge of EPC contractual mechanisms, contract administration and commercial management.

Responsibilities

• Manage EPC contracts throughout their lifecycle from tender to close-out.
• Prepare and coordinate Calls for Tender (CFT), including documentation and commercial evaluations.
• Lead contractual clarification and negotiation processes and assess proposals.
• Administer high-value SURF EPC contracts, ensuring compliance with obligations and regulations.
• Manage change orders, variations, claims and counterclaims, mitigating risks.
• Monitor contractor performance, milestones, payments and invoices with Planning Engineers and Cost Controllers.
• Support cost control activities including forecasting and budget revisions.
• Participate in contractual negotiations and dispute resolution with legal, insurance, and finance teams.
• Coordinate with Package Managers, contractors and stakeholders for reporting and communication.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks associated with interfaces, offshore operations and SIMOPS.
