Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Subcontract Engineer / Chartering Specialist for a 6-month renewable contract based in Paris, France. This role requires a strong background in subcontracting, contract administration and chartering within engineering or offshore projects.

You will manage service subcontracts through tendering, award, administration, variations and close-out, while coordinating with multidisciplinary stakeholders to drive on-time, within-budget project delivery.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Maritime, Logistics or related discipline.
• 5-10 years of experience in subcontracting, contract administration, project procurement, construction or services contracting, or offshore energy projects.
• Experience managing service subcontracts through tendering, award, administration, variations, claims and close-out.
• Experience in engineering, construction, subsea, offshore or other project-driven environments.

Job Title: Subcontract Engineer / Chartering Specialist Duration: 6 Months renewable contract Location: Paris, France

Required Education:

• Degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, Maritime, Logistics or a related discipline

Required Experience:

• 5-10 years of experience in subcontracting, contract administration, project procurement, construction or services contracting, or offshore energy projects

Demonstrated Experience:

• Managing service subcontracts through tendering, award, administration, variations, claims and close-out

Experience in:

• Engineering, construction, subsea, offshore or other project-driven environment

Experience taking ownership of:

• Complex subcontracting packages and supporting multidisciplinary stakeholders

Required Skills:

• Subcontracting strategy, tendering, commercial evaluation, contract drafting and negotiation
• Post-award contract administration, change management and claims management
• Supplier performance management, cost control and schedule control
• Strong negotiation, communication and stakeholder coordination skills
• Commercial judgement, attention to detail, autonomy, problem-solving and integrity

Preferred Qualifications:

• Practical exposure to vessel chartering, marine services or offshore logistics
• French or Portuguese language capability
• Familiarity with BIMCO-based contracts
• Availability for occasional short-duration travel
