The Institut Curie - Research Center is seeking a motivated Study Engineer (IE) in Biology to contribute to cancer research using hiPSCs, hiPSC-derived cells, and neuroblastoma lines. Institut Curie, CNRS UMR 144 – team Daniele Fachinetti: Molecular Mechanisms of Chromosome Dynamics
Missions
Our team Molecular Mechanisms of Chromosome Dynamics, led by Daniele Fachinetti, investigates the fundamental principles that ensure the faithful transmission of genetic material in mammalian cells. We combine cell biology, genetics, epigenetics, biochemistry, and imaging to understand how centromeres are established, maintained, and function throughout the cell cycle. We also study how their deregulation can lead to genome instability – a key driver of many pathologies, including cancer.
Our team is seeking a motivated Study Engineer (IE) in Biology to contribute to a project investigating the role of aneuploidy, centromeres, and germline deletions in the transition from normal to tumoral states in neuroblastoma. The project focuses on human induced pluripotent stem cells (hiPSCs), hiPSC-derived sympathoblasts, and neuroblastoma cell lines to better understand mechanisms of tumor initiation and progression.
