Institut Curie in Paris seeks an Image Analysis Engineer (Bioimage Analyst) to lead image analysis projects within the Cell and Tissue Imaging Platform. The mission of the Institut Curie Research Center is to develop basic research and to use the knowledge produced to improve the diagnosis, prognosis, and therapeutics of cancers as part of the continuum between basic research and innovation serving the patient.
The Genetics and Developmental Biology Unit (BDD) at Institut Curie is a multidisciplinary department that studies tissue dynamics from the cellular to organ scale during development. Research teams use fluorescence optical microscopy to visualize biological processes in real time in various organoids and animal models (Drosophila, zebrafish, and mouse). We are looking for an enthusiastic, curious, and service‑oriented Image Analysis Engineer (Bioimage Analyst).
You will work within the Cell and Tissue Imaging Platform (PICT) located in the BDD unit and collaborate with scientists from the unit and partner teams. Projects will span a wide range of activities, from implementing image analysis workflows to developing custom scripts, macros, or plugins, as well as in‑depth collaborations involving full end‑to‑end analysis of research projects.
Training And Experience Required
Candidates must hold an engineering degree, Master’s degree, or PhD in (bio)informatics, (bio)physics, applied mathematics, or a related field, with at least 3 years of professional experience in bioimage analysis in a research or research support environment.
