Job summary

Polène Paris is seeking a designer for its Studio to shape leather goods collections from initial concept to prototypes. You will work closely with the Design team and with workshops in France and Spain to translate ideas into finished products.

The role emphasizes hands-on prototyping, materials knowledge, and a luxury design sensibility aligned with Polène’s DNA. Collaboration and project management are essential in this fast-paced, creative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in design (leather goods, jewellery, or objects), ideally in luxury.
• Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and hand sketching.
• Strong understanding of construction and manufacturing techniques.
• Hands-on approach with prototyping and mock-ups a plus.
• Creative, autonomous, rigorous, highly organized and collaborative.

Responsibilities

• Conduct creative and visual research and build moodboards for new designs.
• Translate concepts into sketches, technical drawings, simulations and mock-ups.
• Create mock-ups at different development stages to test shapes and constructions.
• Develop technical specifications and correction sheets for workshops.
• Oversee technical development with Collection and Sourcing teams and workshops in France and Spain.
• Participate in design reviews and present project progress.
• Stay up to date on trends, materials, craftsmanship and Polène’s identity.
