Hines is seeking an Assistant General Manager to act as the operational lead of a student residence in Yerres, Île-de-France. You will supervise daily service delivery, coordinate internal teams and external contractors, and ensure safety, cleanliness and resident satisfaction.

Reporting to the General Manager, you will support rent processes, maintain compliance, handle resident concerns, and contribute to a welcoming living environment while driving efficiency and cost control.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in student accommodation, residential, hospitality, property management, or similar customer-facing operational environment.
• Experience coordinating day-to-day operations and managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working with contractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Good understanding of facilities management, maintenance processes, and health & safety requirements.
• Strong customer service and resident-focused mindset.
• Experience supervising, supporting, or coaching front-line teams.
• Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with residents, colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Good administrative, reporting, and IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently, use initiative, and make sound operational decisions.
• Positive, proactive, and solution-oriented attitude.

Responsabilités

• Support the General Manager in day-to-day operation of the residence, ensuring high standards of service and resident satisfaction.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure safety, cleanliness, and full operability of the residence.
• Coordinate external contractors and service providers (housekeeping, maintenance, security, technical suppliers).
• Oversee maintenance requests and monitor service delivery with timely issue resolution.
• Act as primary operational liaison with Hines Management Services France for technical and maintenance matters.
• Support operational administration, rent invoicing, rent collection monitoring, and arrears follow-up.
• Assist in monitoring operational performance and cost control.
• Ensure professional, responsive service for residents, visitors, and stakeholders.
• Support resolution of resident concerns, complaints, incidents, and escalations.
• Contribute to a welcoming, safe, and engaging living environment.
• Provide day-to-day supervision to the reception team.
• Act as deputy to the General Manager when required and manage priorities in their absence.
• Support compliance with policies, health & safety, and local regulations.
• Participate in the out-of-hours emergency rota as required.
