Job summary

Emerton Data, part of Emerton Group, seeks a data scientist and strategy consultant with dual-track capabilities in Paris. You will engage in data science modeling, data strategy, and AI-driven use-case delivery across sectors, collaborating with senior partners.

You will structure analyses, conduct interviews, prioritize use cases, and build data products, while communicating insights to clients. French and English fluency required.

Qualifications

• MSc in the field of General Engineering, Computer Science, Machine Learning, Applied Statistics, Mathematics
• 3 years minimum of relevant professional experience
• Programming experience in Python, SQL
• Experience in finding data science solutions to business problems
• Strong problem-solving capabilities and business sense
• Experience in statistical modeling and ML techniques
• Experience with data tech stack: NoSQL, Docker, cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure), Gitlab
• Excellent oral and written communication; fluent English and French

Your Role

This position offers a dual-track as Data Scientist and Strategy Consultant (min. 2-3 years of former relevant experience).

You will have the opportunity to contribute to a variety of projects:

• Strategy projects (e.g., strategic due diligence, market opportunity, full potential strategic plan, etc.) that can be linked to data & AI topics or not
• Data & AI strategy projects (e.g., data roadmap connected to business strategy, Responsible AI governance)
• Data use case delivery projects (industrialized products), that often include the following: data science modeling, machine learning and advanced data processing and visualizations
• Advanced data analytics projects (e.g. in-depth analysis of complex data such as order book data on energy markets)

After an onboarding period and under the guidance of partners and experienced consultants, you will join a project team and contribute to solving the client's toughest problems.

Your tasks will encompass the following:

• Structure, analyze and solve problems
• Conduct interviews, market analysis
• Analyze facts and translate them into meaningful insights and recos
• Identify, scope, and prioritize use cases
• Collect and process data, using scraping technologies
• Prepare data, both structured and non-structured
• Find the adequate model to solve the problem
• Implement machine learning algorithms and relevant optimizations
• Find insights and communicate
• Program code at best standards to ensure proper industrialization
• Create meaningful and useful data products and visualizations
