Alstom is seeking an experienced Buyer to integrate into the Subsystems procurement team. You will deploy commodity strategies, support supplier selection, and manage supplier performance to meet QCD objectives. The role involves local content targets, regional buying, and coordination with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities include handling RFx, contractual relationships, and day-to-day purchases while ensuring P2P accuracy and on-time delivery. Travel to supplier sites may be required.

Qualifications

• National Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent.
• BS/BA in Purchasing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology or another business-related field.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in Procurement, or similar industry work experience.
• Solid background in sourcing/supply chain with manufacturing/rail/auto experience preferred.
• Fluent English; international mindset.

Responsabilités

• Support Sourcing Manager in leading the team.
• Lead RFx and local tender processes.
• Execute day-to-day buying in a specific region and ensure procure-to-pay routing.
• Deploy commodity strategy to local requirements in line with Global Strategy.
• Manage contractual relationships with suppliers.
• Track orders and report order status.
• Ensure supplier pricing aligns with market indices and inform Commodity Manager of discrepancies.
• Travel as required to supplier sites and audits.
