Job summary

Alstom is seeking an experienced procurement professional to drive strategic sourcing and supplier management across global projects. You will lead RFQs, negotiate terms, and coordinate cross-functional teams to secure cost-effective, quality deliveries.

The role requires solid project management skills, the ability to work in a multicultural environment, and fluency in English. On-site work with regular travel will be involved as part of complex mobility projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor/Master in purchasing or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead project from RFQ to pre-serial delivery.
• Prepare and launch RFQs to suppliers per commodity strategy.
• Lead supplier negotiations during tender phases.
• Manage design changes and cost impacts with the right bridge.
• Coordinate sourcing with local and cross‑functional teams.
• Monitor and mitigate supplier performance issues.

Part of Global commodity Team managing Hydrogen and Power Pack System

Main Missions and responsibilities for the position are:

• Lead project from RFQ to Pre-seriel delivery phase:
  • Preparing and launching Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to suppliers as per commodity strategy
  • Leading project from RFQ to supplier award with sound contractual & commercial negotiation considering QCDT
  • Lead product development activities with supplier through strong co-ordinations with internal CFT until FAI + 3 TS delivery
• PO management capturing design changes / cost impacts with right bridge
• Driving negotiations during tender phases to secure the best commitments for the company
• Leading Planning & Savings reviews based on project/bid priorities
• Supporting and deploying the defined commodity strategy
• Managing relationships with a global panel of suppliers, including negotiations, specific agreements, and performance monitoring
• Supporting projects and site buyers worldwide
• Coordinating sourcing activities with local and cross-functional teams
• Facilitating teamwork to efficiently resolve project- and supplier-related issues
• Responsible for some of the cross functional activities on the Commodity
• Monitor day to day suppliers performances and issues & mitigate proactively
• Consolidation of commodity needs , inputs & building strong data base
• Apply the Alstom procurement process, and provide return on experience.

Profile:

• Business school or Engineering degree (with MASTER in purchasing management plus)
