Global Sourcing Lead - Mobility & Supplier Strategy

Job summary

Alstom is seeking a seasoned buyer within the Global Commodity Team to lead end-to-end sourcing from RFQ to supplier award, driving cost and contract negotiations, and coordinating with cross-functional teams worldwide.

You will manage supplier relations, support project delivery, and implement commodity strategy across high-travel, on-site operations in France. Fluency in English and a strong analytical mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience or understanding of strategic sourcing processes and supplier management.
• Familiarity with project management and contract negotiations.
• Ability to work in a multicultural environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Analytical mindset and ability to solve complex problems.
• Negotiations skills on price and contractual clauses.
• Fluent in English and international background.

Responsibilities

• Lead project from RFQ to Pre-serial delivery phase.
• Prepare and launch RFQs to suppliers per commodity strategy.
• Lead project from RFQ to supplier award with sound contractual & commercial negotiation.
• Lead product development activities with supplier through coordination with internal teams until FAI + 3 TS delivery.
• PO management capturing design changes / cost impacts with right bridge.
• Drive negotiations during tender phases to secure best commitments for the company.
• Lead Planning & Savings reviews based on project/bid priorities.
• Support and deploy the defined commodity strategy.
• Manage relationships with a global panel of suppliers, incl. negotiations and performance monitoring.
• Support projects and site buyers worldwide.
• Coordinate sourcing activities with local and cross-functional teams.
• Facilitate teamwork to resolve project- and supplier-related issues.
• Monitor day to day suppliers performances and issues & mitigate proactively.
