Job summary

Takara Bio Europe is seeking a Product Development Scientist, Stem Cell, to advance cell culture media and related technologies for stem cell therapies. The role blends hands-on biology with analytical and data-driven approaches in an industrial R&D setting.

You will design and execute development projects, perform assays, manage documentation, and communicate results to internal stakeholders. Based in Évry with periodic travel to Takara locations and conferences.

Qualifications

• MSc or PhD in life sciences with wet-lab experience.
• 2+ years of wet lab experience in biotech/pharma.
• Strong stem cell biology and/or immunology background.
• Experience combining experimental biology with bioinformatics.
• Experience in regulated or quality-driven product development.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to cell culture media development projects from proof-of-concept to transfer to Operations.
• Plan and perform laboratory studies across cell biology projects and applications.
• Develop, optimize and implement cell-based and analytical assays for development and characterization.
• Ensure rigorous experimental design, data integrity and documentation.
• Manage project documentation, PLC updates and progress reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners.
