Job summary

The Product Development Scientist, Stem Cell at Takara Bio will contribute to cell culture media development and related technologies for stem cell and ATMP applications. The role combines hands-on science with data analysis and documentation in an industrial R&D setting.

Based in the Genopole Évry area, the position involves cross-functional collaboration, SOPs, and communicating results to internal stakeholders, with occasional travel to Takara locations and conferences.

Qualifications

• MSc or MSc equivalent in life sciences closely related fields.
• PhD in translational research, immunology, or cell biology preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of wet lab experience in biotech or life sciences.
• Strong background in mammalian cell culture, esp. stem cells.
• Experience combining experimental biology with data analysis or bioinformatics.
• Proven ability to plan and execute multiple R&D projects in parallel.
• Hands-on lab experience with cell-based, molecular or biochemical assays.
• Experience with flow cytometry, immunoassays, molecular biology, NGS.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize cell culture media and related technologies for stem cell applications.
• Plan and execute multiple cell biology projects with rigorous design and documentation.
• Establish and improve laboratory workflows, methods and SOPs.
• Analyze data using statistical and bioinformatics approaches and report results.
• Communicate findings to internal stakeholders and support technology transfer.
• Collaborate with Development, Marketing, Quality and external partners.
