Ansys, part of Synopsys, is seeking an R&D engineer at the intersection of AI/ML and computational geometry to advance AI‑driven geometry processing and intelligent meshing. You will join a collaborative team shaping next‑gen simulation tools and mesh technologies for engineering challenges.

As part of the Meshing Development Unit, you will translate research into production, work across disciplines, and contribute from theoretical development to scalable, high‑performance software.

Qualifications

• MSc in Applied Mathematics, Computational Geometry, Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 3+ years experience; PhD with 1+ year is a plus.
• Strong expertise in AI/ML applied to 3D geometry processing or mesh generation.
• Solid understanding of geometry processing, mesh generation, numerical methods and applied mathematics.
• Proficiency in Python and exposure to C++, with production‑quality software experience.
• Experience with deep learning, reinforcement learning, geometric DL or graph neural networks is highly desirable.
• Ability to research, develop, and implement solutions to complex and ambiguous problems.

Responsabilités

• Researching, designing, and implementing AI/ML‑driven algorithms for 3D geometry processing and mesh generation.
• Collaborating with the meshing software team to productionize algorithms.
• Writing efficient Python and C/C++ code with performance, scalability, and deployment focus.
• Exploring learning‑based techniques to augment, optimize, and automate geometry and meshing algorithms.
• Analyzing simulation models and workflows to identify automation opportunities.
• Working across R&D and software teams through code reviews and knowledge sharing.
