Faber in Paris is seeking a seasoned software engineer to help build the next generation of 3D engineering tools. The role sits at the intersection of mechanical engineering, computational geometry, 3D software, and AI, requiring deep expertise in at least two of these areas and a curiosity for the rest.

You will contribute to the geometry layer, CAD/CAM features, and human–agent interactions, with direct impact on real industrial problems and close collaboration with the founding team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building 3D or CAD software: geometry kernels, B-rep, meshes, solvers, or a close field.
• Fast and comfortable writing code. We use coding agents heavily.
• Enough mechanical engineering to read a drawing and judge whether a part makes sense.
• Practical experience with machine learning, or a strong drive to get it. Not required to be a researcher.
• You want to help build a company, and a truly multidisciplinary team.

Responsabilités

• The geometry layer of our tools: how the agent perceives a part, a drawing or a B-rep, how it acts on the geometry kernel, and how we check that the result is right.
• Human-agent interaction: how an engineer steers, corrects and validates the agent’s work, in the interface.
• Classic CAD/CAM features in our own application: sketching, modelling, toolpaths.
• Real industrial problems, with our design partners: parts, drawings, machining processes.
