Jobgether in France seeks a Staff / Principal Applied AI Researcher to lead agentic search research, shaping retrieval, grounding, and multi-step reasoning for real-time information access. You will own research directions, collaborate with engineering, and advance production-ready AI systems at scale.

Ideal candidates bring 8+ years in applied AI, strong ML in search or LLM-integrated systems, and hands-on Python with Go or C++.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in applied AI, ML, or software engineering.
• Proven ability to design and ship ML/AI systems at production scale.
• Deep expertise in search, information retrieval, ranking, or related domains.
• Strong knowledge of modern deep learning, transformers, and embeddings.
• Experience building LLM-integrated, knowledge-intensive, or retrieval-augmented systems.
• Ability to design evaluation frameworks and meaningful ML metrics.
• Proficient in Python and at least one systems language like Go or C++.

Responsabilités

• Drive applied AI research and technical direction for agent-native search.
• Design multi-stage retrieval architectures: query understanding, rewriting, reranking.
• Develop grounding of LLMs with real-time web data ensuring quality and scalability.
• Build systems where LLMs plan, query, evaluate, refine, and reason across workflows.
• Define evaluation frameworks and experimentation methodologies for agentic systems.
• Lead experimentation with embeddings, hybrid search, and productionization of methods.
• Collaborate with engineering to deploy AI systems in high-throughput environments.
• Mentor engineers and raise research and engineering standards.
