Qualifications

• Production AI experience: shipped an AI agent or agentic workflow used by real users.
• Strong backend engineering with system-design fundamentals across architecture, APIs, databases.
• Staff-level autonomy and judgement with independent decision making.
• Product and stakeholder thinking to turn ambiguous operational pain into a solution.
• End-to-end ownership: discover, build, ship, operate, maintain improvements.
• Learning agility in AFC and regulated workflows; fintech experience helpful.
• Pragmatic technology choices: production principles over vendor specifics.

Responsibilities

• Build production AI systems: design and ship agentic tools and AI-powered workflows.
• Own projects end to end: lead discovery, shape the solution, implement and launch, operate in production.
• Design robust backend foundations: APIs, databases, integrations, observability, reliability.
• Make AI behaviour measurable: evaluation, observability, fallbacks, human-review.
• Deliver measurable operational value: reduce investigation lead time and expand automation.
• Shape the team’s technical direction: lead design discussions and raise capability.
