Job summary

Mirakl Labs in Paris is seeking a motivated software engineering intern for six months to join the Financial Services squad. You will mainly work on frontend features, collaborating with a cross‑functional team including a Senior Engineering Manager, Product Manager, and QA engineer.

The role focuses on frontend engineering with React, JavaScript/TypeScript, and occasional Java backend tasks, supported by a modern stack (ReactJS, Java 21, Spring Boot, Kafka).

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Master’s degree (M1 or M2) in software engineering or computer science and looking for a 6‑month internship.
• First hands‑on development experience through an internship, academic project, apprenticeship, or personal project.
• Solid understanding of frontend development and object‑oriented programming principles.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to frontend development from UI implementation to user experience improvements.
• Support backend work by participating in API design and development, collaborating closely with the engineering team.
• Work hand‑in‑hand with UX/UI designers to deliver features that are technically solid and user‑centric.
• Take part in agile rituals — stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — and contribute actively to the team’s roadmap.
• Monitor and take ownership of your contributions in production, following a you build it, you run it mindset.

1. The Team You’ll Join

You’ll be part of our Mirakl Labs Financial Services squad, based in Paris. The team is structured as a cross‑functional Squad composed of a Senior Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, Software Engineers and a QA engineer. You’ll be mentored by Wael Osmani, Software Engineer. You’ll join a team that builds and ships the core product features powering some of the world’s most ambitious marketplace platforms, with a particular focus on financial services capabilities.

2. Your Impact

• Contribute to the development and evolution of a production application, primarily on the frontend — from UI implementation to user experience improvements
• Support backend work by participating in API design and development, collaborating closely with the engineering team
• Work hand‑in‑hand with UX/UI designers to deliver features that are both technically solid and user‑centric

3. What You’ll Bring to the Role

Experience:

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

• Pay Range: €1,200 – €1,400 per month
