Ideal candidates are pursuing a Master’s degree and have hands-on frontend and backend exposure, with strong JavaScript/TypeScript, Java, and curiosity for high‑quality code. The role emphasizes teamwork, agile ceremonies, and a run-it mindset.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing a Master's degree (M1 or M2) in software engineering, CS, or related field.
• First hands-on development experience via internship, project, apprenticeship, or personal project.
• Solid understanding of frontend development and OO programming principles.

Responsibilities

• Develop and evolve a production frontend application, from UI implementation to UX improvements.
• Contribute to API design and backend collaboration with the engineering team.
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to deliver technically solid, user-centric features.
• Participate in agile rituals and contribute to the team roadmap.
• Monitor contributions in production and practice a you-build-it, you-run-it mindset.

1. The Team You'll Join

You’ll be part of our Mirakl Labs Financial Services squad, based in Paris. The team is structured as a cross‑functional Squad composed of a Senior Engineering Manager, a Product Manager, Software Engineers and a QA engineer. You’ll be mentored by Wael Osmani, Software Engineer. You’ll join a team that builds and ships the core product features powering some of the world’s most ambitious marketplace platforms, with a particular focus on financial services capabilities.

2. Your Impact

• Contribute to the development and evolution of a production application, primarily on the frontend — from UI implementation to user experience improvements
• Support backend work by participating in API design and development, collaborating closely with the engineering team
• Work hand-in-hand with UX/UI designers to deliver features that are both technically solid and user-centric
• Take part in agile rituals — stand‑ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — and contribute actively to the team's roadmap
• Monitor and take ownership of your contributions in production, following a you build it, you run it mindset

3. What You’ll Bring to the Role

Experience

• Currently pursuing a Master's degree (M1 or M2) in software engineering, computer science, or a related field, and looking for a 6‑month internship
• First hands‑on development experience through an internship, academic project, apprenticeship, or personal project
• Solid understanding of frontend development and object‑oriented programming principles

Skills

• Proficiency or strong interest in frontend frameworks such as React or Angular, and in JavaScript/TypeScript
• Familiarity with Java for backend and API development
• Curiosity for clean code, software quality, and working on production‑grade applications
• A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a genuine drive to learn

Compensation, Perks & Benefits

• Pay Range: €1,200 – €1,400 per month
