Checkout.com is hiring a Software Engineer in France to join a global engineering community and build next-generation payments tech that boosts merchant acceptance and reduces costs.

You will design, develop, test, and deploy software across microservices, mentor peers, and learn new technologies in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role offers a hybrid model with three days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• Proficiency in C# .NET, Java, or Go with backend or full-stack skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder interaction abilities.
• Experience in agile environments delivering high-quality code.
• Strong problem-solving and independent teamwork.
• AI-proficiency or AI-curiosity to leverage latest tech.
• Payments or financial knowledge is a plus but not required.

Responsabilités

• Be part of cross-functional teams including product management and a large engineering community.
• Define and design loosely coupled, scalable microservices-based systems.
• Stay up-to-date with and spread knowledge of Checkout technologies.
• Write clean, maintainable, testable code on impactful systems.
• Build, own and operate systems with high resilience and service levels.
• Mentor junior team members and help their technical development.
