Digital Realty Trust, L.P. is seeking a Data Center Engineer to help maintain safe operation of electrical and mechanical systems across our data centers in Île-de-France. You will assist in authorizing electrical works and ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and company standards.

You will train staff and contractors, participate in audits, and contribute to continuous safety improvements. Strong communication and organizational skills, plus a commitment to safety, are essential

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably electrical)
• Recognised craft Apprenticeship or training scheme in electrical engineering
• AE training course completed
• AP training attended, with experience as HV or LV AP
• 2-4 years experience in Building Services, Electrical, or Data Center industry
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and switching in critical environments
• Experience in oversight, assessment, and training, including audits and competence vetting of contractors

Responsibilities

The Data Center Engineer assists in maintaining the safe operation of electrical and mechanical systems across all data centers. This role supports the authorization and oversight of electrical works, ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and company standards. The engineer collaborates with staff to provide technical guidance, participate in safety permitting, and uphold operational safety. They are involved in audits, training, and cross‑functional teamwork to maintain high safety and compliance standards.

The engineer assists in the training and assessment of staff and contractors, participates in audits, and contributes to continuous improvement of safety practices. They work closely with cross‑functional teams to address operational challenges, resolve issues, and maintain a safe working environment. Effective communication, organizational skills, and a commitment to company values are required for success in this role.
