Digital Realty in Paris seeks a Data Center Engineer to maintain safe operation of electrical and mechanical systems across all data centers. You will support authorization and oversight of electrical works, ensuring compliance with Electrical Safety Rules and company standards.

You will provide technical guidance, assist in audits and training, and work with cross-functional teams to address safety challenges while upholding a culture of customer focus, teamwork and results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, preferably electrical.
• Recognised craft apprenticeship or training scheme in electrical engineering.
• AE training course completed.
• AP training with HV or LV AP experience.
• 2-4 years experience in Building Services, Electrical, or Data Center industry.
• Strong understanding of electrical safety and switching in critical environments.
• Experience in oversight, assessment, and training, including audits and competence vetting of contractors.

The Data Center Engineer assists in maintaining the safe operation of electrical and mechanical systems across all data centers. The Data Center Engineer is responsible for supporting the safe execution of electrical and mechanical work within data centers, working under the guidance of engineers. They help administer and monitor safe systems of work, ensuring all activities comply with established safety rules and procedures. The role involves assisting in the training and assessment of staff and contractors, participating in audits, and contributing to the continuous improvement of safety practices. The engineer works closely with cross-functional teams to address operational challenges, resolve issues, and maintain a safe working environment.
