Lonza is seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager for our Portsmouth, NH site. You will lead site safety programs, partner with cross-functional teams to ensure safe operations, and drive a strong safety culture through leadership, audits, and risk assessments.

The role emphasizes regulatory readiness, training delivery, and managing safety data while developing a high-performing EHS team in a dynamic manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EHS, engineering, or a science-related field is required.
• Minimum 5+ years of experience in EHS, pharmaceutical manufacturing, or related environments.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance requirements (e.g., OSHA).
• Experience leading safety programs, audits, and risk assessments.
• Proven ability to lead teams and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
• Comfortable working in operational environments, including occasional physical tasks (walking, stairs, ladders, lifting up to 40 lbs).

Responsabilités

• Develop and maintain site safety programs to ensure regulatory compliance and risk reduction
• Partner with teams across the site to support safe operations and drive safety culture
• Lead safety inspections, audits, and regulatory readiness activities
• Conduct and support risk assessments for new processes, equipment, and changes
• Deliver safety training and promote awareness across employees and contractors
• Manage safety data, reporting, and compliance documentation
• Lead and develop a team of EHS professionals to support site safety performance
