The role supports the E-commerce Site and Content team in maintenance, content creation and optimization across Europcar, Goldcar, InterRent & Ubeeqo websites and apps, including testing new features and launches.

Job Description

Main objectives

Support the E-commerce Site and Content team in the maintenance, content creation and optimization of Europcar, Goldcar, InterRent & Ubeeqo websites and apps

• Participate in testing new features
• Participate in the launch of new responsive websites
• Support the migration of the partnership microsites

Major areas of accountability

Content & Merchandising

• Support all merchandising activities from content creation to publishing (global and cross border campaigns, destination and products-oriented content for corporate and Franchise countries)
• Coordinate and update content
• Create new product pages and coordinate full roll out
• Update training guides with latest material and best practices (internal use)
• Provide training sessions to the new franchisee countries on the digital platform
• Liaise with local site management teams for efficient and effective implementation of actions

Quality & Testing

• Coordinate day-to-day maintenance / testing
• Review and centralize the incidents linked to Ecommerce topics

Digital Projects Support

• Test new features developed to ensure the quality of developments before they go online.
• Work with the product team to provide professional quality digital platforms to B2C, B2B, B2B2C and Franchisee customers

Car rental will see the light a few years later, across the Atlantic, but its development will be stopped by the first and then by the Second World Wars. In the aftermath of the war, a Parisian entrepreneur revived the idea: "If you can’t afford to buy a car, why not rent one when you need it?". His name was Raoul-Louis Mattei and in 1949, he created "L'Abonnement Automobile": a company that would later become the Compagnie Internationale Europcars, then Europcar. Its headquarters, located 11 rue du Champ de Mars also included a rental agency. The company's success was rapid, as car rental responded to a real need. In 1951, l’Abonnement Automobile was the first company for car rental without a driver and its fleet counted 750 4 CV. Now, the Europcar Mobility Group has over 200,000 vehicles on average in its fleet and serves 5 million customers in more than 140 countries.
