The role blends hands-on engineering with storytelling, requiring experience in on-call incident response, service-management practices, and public-facing content creation. Remote-friendly with broad collaboration.

Qualifications

• Approximately 5+ years of experience as a Platform Engineer, SRE, DevOps or Software Developer with on-call/incident responder experience.
• Strong understanding of service-management practices (incident response, on-call, post-incident reviews, and SLOs) using tools like Datadog, PagerDuty, Opsgenie, incident.io, Rootly, Jira Cloud Platform, Cortex or similar.
• Passion for helping teams fix organizational challenges and sharing knowledge broadly.
• Approximately 2+ years of storytelling/content creation experience (writing, speaking, workshops, videos, open source contributions).
• Publicly available writing samples, blogs, demos, or recordings of technical presentations.
• Comfort with at least one scripting/programming language (Node.js, Python, Go, bash) and familiarity with APIs and modern cloud/containers infrastructure.
• Enjoys self-driven learning of new technologies and languages.

Responsabilités

• Act as SME for service management for Datadog's advocacy and engineering teams.
• Create content across demos, blogs, documentation, webinars, open source and more.
• Partner with product engineering to build demos and coach teams on communication/presentation.
• Interface with open source communities to drive messaging and integrations for Datadog.
• Contribute to product feedback, documentation, or code.
