PartnerRe is seeking an experienced Senior Actuary to join the Global Life Financial Solutions team for Europe, Middle-East and Latin America. The role involves developing and pricing reinsurance solutions, with exposure to diverse markets and product innovation.

Flexibility to base in Zurich, Paris, London or Dublin is offered. The candidate will contribute to growth in the EMELA region, working with a broad, international team on complex pricing and structure design for life reinsurance.

Qualifications

• Actuarial pricing expertise for life and health insurance/reinsurance.
• Familiarity with accounting standards such as US GAAP and IFRS17.
• Solid knowledge of Solvency II and its insurer implications.

Responsabilités

• Develop, structure and market reinsurance solutions considering accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects.
• Develop pricing tools to analyze risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions.
• Support deal execution: respond to RFPs, negotiate terms with clients/brokers, prepare internal memos.
• Support business development through client visits and tailoring solutions to client objectives.
• Prepare and deliver internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics.

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, results orientated Senior Actuary to join our growing Global Life Financial Solutions team for Europe, Middle-East and Latin America regions. The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and implementation of models assessing the underlying risk (including high level experience analysis) and development of the appropriate structure (with broader team) to meet clients needs. The position will be based in Zurich, Paris, London or Dublin.

The role provides the opportunity for exposure to a wide variety of products and innovative reinsurance solutions in diverse markets and you will be expected to make a significant contribution to the development of our Global Life Financial Solutions team, and the wider enhancement of PartnerRe’s Life & Health propositions.

Key Responsibilities

Your mission is to develop and price financial solutions transactions and grow PartnerRe’s revenue in the EMELA region.

In More Detail Your Responsibilities Will Include

• Develop, structure and market appropriate reinsurance solutions encompassing accounting, regulatory and economic risk-transfer aspects
• Technical development of pricing tools to analyse risk and profitability of life reinsurance solutions
• Contribute to the deal execution involving responding to RFPs, negotiating terms with clients and brokers, and prepare internal approval memos
• Support the business development efforts prospecting/client visits promoting our solutions and tailoring to specific client objectives
• Prepare and make internal and external presentations on life reinsurance topics as required

Qualifications

Technical Skills:

• You are a technically excellent individual with an ability to demonstrate commercial sense
• Strong actuarial background in pricing life and health insurance / reinsurance and familiar with accounting standards (e.g., USGAAP, IFRS17)
• Good knowledge of Solvency 2 is essential, including awareness of some of the issues faced by insurers

• Great communication, strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Fluent English speaker. Other European languages are desirable

Work Experience

• At least 8 years of relevant financial services industry experience
• Experience in actuarial pricing and structuring bespoke reinsurance agreements will be ideal
