Proton is seeking an Infrastructure Systems engineer to manage a global server network and build automation for high-uptime systems. You will enhance monitoring, reliability, and scalability while tackling complex network environments and censorship scenarios.

The role emphasizes Kubernetes, IaC, and Python-based tooling, with a strong focus on security and performance in an on-prem/cloud hybrid setup. Paris-based office presence is expected.

Qualifications

• Linux internals, networking stack, and kernel tuning.
• Kubernetes orchestration and automation with IaC tools (Terraform/Ansible/Puppet).
• Python proficiency for automation tooling and scripts.
• Design HA, complex distributed scalable systems architecture.
• Hands-on monitoring with Prometheus and Grafana dashboards.
• Understanding of security principles for infrastructure.

Responsabilités

• Oversee and optimize our global network of servers.
• Design and implement automation ensuring high uptime (99.95%+).
• Participate in on-call rotation and troubleshoot complex issues.
• Develop and enhance monitoring and alerting for real-time visibility.
• Engineer connectivity, stability, performance, and security improvements.
