Datadog is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for the Action Platform in Paris. You will join the Private Action Runner team, shaping core execution layers behind Datadog’s actions and remediation capabilities while leading a team of engineers in a hybrid work environment.

You will design scalable backend systems, optimize performance, and collaborate across product areas. This role emphasizes leadership, AI-enabled development, and growth into Engineering Manager as the team expands.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in one or more languages.
• Value code simplicity and performance.
• Design architecture to solve problems at high scale.
• BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience.
• Desire to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment that respects engineers and customers.
• Excited about leveraging AI tools to enhance coding and problem solving.
• Experience with AI coding tools in day-to-day workflows.
• Design AI backend systems with quality, cost, and latency tradeoffs.
• Ready to lead and support a small group of engineers.
• Bonus: experience mentoring or leading small teams as tech lead.
• Bonus: motivated to push AI boundaries in software engineering.
